Como Zoo Trip
I went to The Como Zoo yesterday. Orangutans are reorganizing their family troop. For animal community, the huge male is an Army General. The two females, the adolescent, and the baby are all now animal CIA. The hybrid female, who has no blood relation to any of them, is in charge. As I sent that, she immediately began boundarying the adolescent. The mother then went to the highest parts of the enclosure. She had never done that while I was there. The adult male began climbing in the high part of the enclosure. When I told him to move on, the adolescent came over to bug him and he moved on. I kept my eyes on the gorillas and when I would see them, they would move on. I felt very connected yesterday. I had some great eye contact with the tallest giraffe and the baby, but the female turned away. The big cats were great. For the first time I saw the snow leopard out, and moving all around his cage. He is very rarely viewable and he is never moving. He was even marking his territory. He even walked right by the window where I was. He was jumping up and down his rocks, and even looking out of his enclosure. He did try scratching at the mesh, but got caught on his claws so, when freed, he walked away. It was a great zoo trip. I just sent sleepy sleep to the brother and sister lions and they went to sleep. What a day.
