A Soliloquy for Emily

I stand quietly with my thoughts and create a dramatic moment that only the audience can hear.  I am here in this Uptown location of Cub Foods to meet with a strong, 27-year-old woman of purpose and intent.  She will be a sister in the cause of finding me employment in a world that has been dark for me for many years.  I have worked so hard to get to this day of interview and review.  She has the power.  I have the intent and carry much hope and inspiration in my heart.  I have dressed professionally, and carry with me a beautiful bag set from Macy's that I have received many compliments on of late.  My bus has been a bit iffy, thus I left early to enjoy a brisk walk.  The characters here in this space are many and varied, and I love the exploration of their minds and philosophies.  Being a writer and an artist has been my job for years, and now I wish to have employment to bring an extra component to my life and art.  All of you in the audience are asked to join this show as we define new ways to shop and provide customer service and relations to The Uptown community.  As someone who has shopped here often, I have run into many a strong fireman along the way.  Their meals are important to the whole community, thus I will aid them and any other customer who needs suggestions or assistance.  Audience, wish me well.  Love your lives and the people in them, and come with me on this exciting journey.
