Primate Love
I went to The Como Zoo yesterday to primarily see the primates and the giraffes. There was enthusiastic interaction with most of them. The little baby Tamerin was sitting beside his mother playing quietly. As we went in, none of the orangotans were outside. Once we got to the inside, they had all gone outside. When we rounded again, we saw all of them and they had the baby on the highest platform in the enclosure. When she showed herself, it looked like she had put he fingers in a light socket. It was total bed head. Talk about adorable. Alice, the gorilla mommy, and her baby Arlene were inside by themselves. I watched them and told them how beautiful they are. I then went to see the bachelors on the outside enclosure. It was Virgil, Sampson, and Jabir. Even though I was inside, Virgil looked at me from his lying down position and I signed I love you right away. He kept looking into my eyes with his soulful deep, dark eyes. When we had to move along because it was so busy, Alice jumped to the little window just before the exit and showed her baby so proudly. She had her wrapped in the bedding "moss" that they give them to play with. As we rounded the outside, Virgil and Sampson started competing and scenting. Virgil then did a perfect JUDO ROLL down the hill. At that weight and height, I name him a JUDO Master, third degree black belt today. It was SOOOOOO amazing. The giraffes responded to my voice and telekinetic energy, loosening up their limbs. One of them start playing with an enrichment puzzle that was very difficult. First time's a charm.
