I Love A Parade

Yesterday evening I went to the NE Minneapolis parade. The highlight was the police horses and then the "Shriner" horse squad. They had on their black slickers and cowboy hats and I deamed them from Galviston, TX. They were expert horsemen and were all white males. I feel like they were actually Texas Rangers. There were about twelve horse and riders and all were chesnut colored without "socks". I walked with them down the lane. Between the weather and the loud teenagers they had there hands full. It all came through a center horse and I just used my developing abilities to keep him calm (horse and rider). Owatonna Marching Band was fun to see because I used to live in that community for 3.5 years when I was in late grade school and junior high. I swam for their high school team in junior high. It is about 70 miles south on hwy 35. The last thing I will note is that I was surrounded by a group of warring African American teenages who wanted to jump someone. The girl behind me said she had a tazer and then she let it off and I heard it go. She said she just wanted to test it. Then the girls all ran forward and one grabbed my hand for no particulor reason. I then saw a cop and told them to be careful because one of the females had a tazer. I just walked home after that. I want to thank the Rangers for their energy and for the chivelrous officer with beautiful blue eyes who walked me across the street safely during the parade. I felt so special. He was very sweet. Sheriff Staneck's boat was there, but he was obviously working behind the scenes. It went GREAT Sheriff.
