I turn the page on Taoism today. I find it interesting that it is not acknowledged as the ROYAL religion of Japan. In that space, all practice, but are behind the face of Emperor who they see as GOD. It is a very effective method that keeps hierarchy in check. The "weak" are killed or are sent to spiritual chamber to torture all entities, keeping them in vicinity.
