The Scent of a Red Rose
The light dims as I see your face in the night. I love the curve of your jaws and your vampiric teeth. I smile and caress your cheek. Beneath it all, I see your light and amazing wit. No one needs to know you. You are a beast and a burden, but I love the amazing vulnerability you bring out in me. Your cruelty is a blessing, for you test me purely, and now move towards those around me. As you go to kiss me sweetly, I DISAPPEAR. It is your turn to learn the lesson of isolation and loneliness. Natural boundaries will then exist so simply. My blood so red, I need my range of motion back. I miss you terribly, but find my pure experimental quality very courageous and unique. I can be proud as you grow more independent every day. I hand you this rose for you to magically start a bush. Smell it, and make that my scent for all infinity.
